First Chance^SM Scholarship Program
The First Chance^SM Scholarship Program was created in 2006 to promote the life-changing benefits of education and honor individuals who have shown desire to improve their lives and the lives of those around them through education. The annual program will empower 100 individuals to complete bachelor’s degrees through full-tuition scholarships to University of Phoenix.

Maricopa Community Colleges Scholarship - Phoenix, AZ Campus
This scholarship is for graduates with an associates degree from one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges who are currently attending the Phoenix, Arizona campus of University of Phoenix.

University of Phoenix Severely Injured Veterans Scholarship Fund/Operation Comfort - Texas
University of Phoenix has created a scholarship program to honor Texas' brave men and women who return home from service in Iraq and Afghanistan with severe injuries. As part of our Severely Injured Veterans Scholarship Program, the scholarships will be awarded to injured veterans so they are empowered to reach their academic goals or pursue second careers. Operation Comfort is proud to partner with University of Phoenix to spearhead this valuable program in Texas. Five full-tuition scholarships will be awarded annually for undergraduate or graduate degrees only.

Paying It Forward^SM Scholarship Program
University of Phoenix is proud to announce the 2008 Paying It Forward^SM scholarship program. University of Phoenix Alumni who have graduated from the University of Phoenix with either a bachelor, master or doctorate degree are eligible to nominate a deserving individual to be awarded a full tuition scholarship to an associate or bachelor degree of their choice. The scholarship is valid at any University of Phoenix campus. Thirty (30) scholarships will be awarded.

University of Phoenix Severely Injured Veterans Scholarship Fund/Soldiers' Angels – Northern California
University of Phoenix is proud to partner with Soldiers' Angels of Northern California to honor the brave men and women who return home from OIF/OEF with severe injuries. As part of our Severely Injured Veterans Scholarship Program, the scholarships will be awarded to injured veterans so they are empowered to reach their academic goals or pursue second careers. University of Phoenix is especially proud to partner with Soldiers' Angels of Northern California in paying tribute to those who fight heroically for the protection of American freedoms. Five full-tuition scholarships will be awarded annually for undergraduate or graduate degrees only.

Families who are faced with breast cancer undergo severe physical, psychological and financial strain. Likewise, students who are fighting cancer must often interrupt their education and are unable to work to save money for college. In order to continue changing people's lives, both University of Phoenix, Charlotte Campus and Raleigh Campus will award an individual under this specific type of hardship the opportunity to fulfill his/her dream of a higher education. One (1) scholarship will be awarded by each campus. The award is for full tuition and fees for a degree program (undergraduate or master's). You must be a resident of Charlotte, Raleigh or their surrounding areas to apply. Applicants must not be current University of Phoenix students or in the process of enrolling.

The University of Phoenix, El Paso Campus, Scott Palomino Scholarship
Scott Palomino is the son of University of Phoenix employee who regrettably suffered a severe injury while serving in the United States armed forces. In Scott's honor, the University of Phoenix, El Paso campus will award one full tuition scholarship each year to a veteran or current member of the United States armed forces who has also suffered a critical injury while in service and is dedicated to achieving a higher education degree through the University of Phoenix El Paso Campus or the online programs of study. The Scott Palomino Scholarship is directed toward new University of Phoenix El Paso students and will cover tuition and fees for an entire Undergraduate or Graduate program (Doctoral programs are not applicable).
